Abstract: This report serves as an introduction to the Randomized Control Trial (Fe deficiency in Colorectal Cancer (FERiC) Trial; HREC/16/PMCC/50) that will be commencing at Epworth HealthCare later this year, as part of the Master of Surgery project (Epworth/Cleveland Colorectal Fellowship - 2016/2017). It is focused on pre-operative optimisation of anaemic and iron deficient colorectal cancer patients.
