Utilising an experiential learning approach to develop a paediatric deteriorating patient education program.

Abstract

In partnership with Epworth’s eLearn team, this project developed a paediatric deteriorating patient education program using interactive video scenarios to enhance experiential learning. This initiative advances Epworth’s digital learning strategy, improving nurse engagement, early recognition, and escalation of paediatric deterioration, with the goal of improving patient outcomes. The program also addresses key challenges in education delivery: customisation, compliance, workforce development, and budget constraints.
