Abstract: Delirium is a severe neuropsychiatric syndrome, characterised by acute changes in attention, awareness and cognition. Delirium is one of the 16 Hospital-Acquired Complications (HACs) and is associated with greater length of hospital stay and increased patient discomfort and distress.
