Abstract: Mental Health nursing is a specialised field requiring unique assessment, intervention, and treatment skills. Despite prior experience, clinicians can find the transition challenging. The Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP) in Mental Health Program, delivered by Brooke’s Academy for Nursing and Midwifery across Epworth HealthCare, supports both Registered and Enrolled Nurses - whether new to mental health or transitioning from other specialties. Introduced in 2019, it has evolved to reflect best practice, ward needs, and a changing nursing workforce.
