Abstract: A review of current literature was undertaken to estimate the reduction of late radiation-induced mortality and morbidity when employing deep inspiration breath-hold (DIBH) for left breast cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy. Stability and reproducibility of employing DIBH techniques in a clinical setting was also examined.
